Update on Archie

Thought I had better post some more recent pics of our new man. He is growing so fast. We have had some sleep issues this week but for the last two nights we seem to have things a bit more under control (touch wood) and I can only contribute it to this CD - Sounds for Silence. It is working wonders. He is now self settling after most feeds and we are no longer having a 3 hour witching period. Lets hope it keeps up

Happy 3rd Birthday Georgia & Annabel

Who can believe that our little girls are 3!!

The last 3 years have gone so fast and you have both enriched our lives so much. We couldn't imagine life without you - your cheeky smiles, laughter and all the funny times you have together as sisters and best friends.

Happy Birthday beautiful girls xoxo

From this....

To This....

And to celebrate..not one but two cakes. The Fairy Princess cakes made by our beautiful friend Alecia and Dorothy the Dinosaur decorated by Aunty Petey (we think Petey has found a new calling in life - forget HRM, its onto bigger and better things - chief cake decorator!)

A Big Fatty

This one is for the english family to show you just how big my belly has grown. I think I have put on about 8kg in the last 5 weeks. Eeekkk......

People keep telling me that my bump is not that big and its not compared to when I was carrying the girls but I am starting to feel like I need a crane to move me around!
34 weeks

38 weeks and 2 days (who is counting?)

2 Week Wait

The Girls in their jumpers knitted by Nanna Shirty

Nanny & Georgia, Poppy and Annabel taken on Poppy's Birthday

Well only 2 weeks to go until brothersister hopefully makes an appearance. Not much happening. Just resting, nesting and getting a few things finalised for the baby. Only curtains left to sew and some wraps for a friends Baby Shower. I think the girls are getting excited. We are talking about brothersister all the time.

Just a few photos to share of the girls. They are growing up all the time and are such little girls now, no longer toddlers. To get the photo with Nanny and Poppy required some bribery on my behalf. Georgia certainly has a mind of her own!

Kisses for Brothersister

Georgia thinking about a kiss

Annabel kissing Brothersister

Just had to share these photos....

The girls have taken to giving brothersister a kiss and pat each night. Only 7 weeks to go. The countdown is on!

Angel?

Does Georgia look like an ANGEL? She might look it but her behaviour the last week or so has been far from angelic. She is testing the boundaries to see how far she can push us. Lucky she is cute & we love her or she would be up for sale on Ebay - probably more likely Free to Good Home.

Finding Elmo

We decided to head up to Sydney for the June Long Weekend for our last jaunt away with all the family before brothersister makes an appearance. We had every intention of taking the girls to the zoo but the lovely Sydney weather put a quick stop to those plans. So we ventured out to the Sydney Aquarium. The girls had a great time looking at all the fish, seals and sharks. It was a big day, with lots of walking and a ride on the bus. Annabel kept asking where her seat belt was??

Baby chino time - Georgia (left) & Annabel

Annabel has somehow confused Nemo with Elmo, hence the title of this post. So all the little fish are now called Elmo!

Annabel & Aunty Pete - stuck in the lift

Our weekend started at Aunty Peta's where we managed to get ourselves stuck in a lift. The girls thought this was hilarious and Annabel kept saying "we are stuck like pigs in the mud." Thankfully the lift technician arrived after 20 minutes.

We are also excited to announce that we have tickets to The Wiggles Concert on the 19th December. I am so excited. We are 5 rows back from the stage. I hope the girls enjoy it!

Sewing, Parties and World War III

Well here it is..Damian's 1st Birthday pressie - a pair of navy cords with little fish sewed onto a bondsie. I hope it fits. Its very cute....... And to match a cute little fish card (thanks Mum).

The girls enjoyed Damian's party but also experienced a bit of tough love from Mum. After breaking up two fights over toys I packed them into the car and brought them home. We lasted 1.5 hours. Annabel sobbed all the way home for 20 minutes..." Mum I don't want to go home."

World War III seems to erupt every 5 minutes in this house. They are either best of mates and play beautifully or are fighting over toys. I generally find Georgia starts the fight by running away with something Annabel had in her possession. And instead of sticking up for herself, Annabel stands and screams like a banshee. Its all just too tiring.....

And a photo of my models in their new cord pants that I finally finished. They looked so cute in these outfits. Teemed with a $5 cotton on shirt and a long sleeved spencer you can't go wrong. This outfit actually reminds me a lot of Peta and myself....Mum always dressed one in pink and the other in blue. But I suppose its better than being in completely matching outfits!

Sewing Mumma

The start of some cord pants for one of the girls
A birthday pressie for someone. I can't reveal what it is for another couple of weeks
(so just a little sneaky peak)

Today I finally got to some sewing. The girls were quiet happy to entertain themselves while I got started on a few projects. I am finding that I am too tired to sew of a night so I have set myself a little task to do a bit each day while the girls have a rest! I have also decided that this year I am going to try and make most birthday pressies for the girls friends. I bet this lasts till brothersister arrives. We have a 1st Birthday Party this weekend for Damien so watch this space......

Our Graceful Fairy

Annabel has taken to pretending to be a fairy. She wears one of my oversized t-shirts around and flaps her arms. She is not particularly graceful (as you can see from the photos)
but it keeps us all entertained!

I hope Aunty Jen is still planning on making the girls a fairy outfit for their birthday.

I personally believe that she has been watching too much of that crappy fairies show on
Channel 7 each morning.

12 Weeks and 2 Days till Brothersister Arrives

Just thought I would post a picture of my belly for the international / interstate family. Its finally gotten bigger. I have gone from looking fat and tubby to actually looking pregnant. We only have 12 weeks to go (hopefully a little less) until the new baby arrives. Thankfully I am no where near as big as when I had the girls. The girls arrived at 29 weeks + 3 which is only 13 days away!!!

Mothers Day Weekend - Camping

We have just returned from a weekend down the coast at Barlings Beach, near Rosedale (where Nic & Keith have a weekender). We stayed in cabins with 3 other families. The kids had a great time - swimming, playing and running wild. The beach was beautiful but breathtakingly cold. This didn't deter the kids and Georgia seems to be finally over her fear of sand!

Chilly Autumn Day

What do you get when you turn your back for 5 seconds on a chilly autumn day???.............

Georgia Leigh stripped down to the nuddie and hosing herself off with the grey water hose from the washing machine. At least we are doing our bit for the environment!

Easter Photos

We had a nice Easter and me a great Birthday. Lots of visitors and today a picnic with my Mothers Group and all the kids at the Botanical Gardens. Just thought I would share some pictures.................

brothersister - Our latest addition

We had our 20 week scan of brothersister (the girls name for the new bub) today. Everything looks good, although they are still uncertain about the exact due date but I suppose this bub will come when its ready. As long as its not another early arrival. The bub was lying with its legs up and its hands behind its head. Think its taking after Daddy already! The best new is that we are already half way there..YAY

Holidays with Nanny, Poppy & Aunty Jen

We have spent the last week having a break with the family. The girls loved all the attention and playing with poppy's animals - chooks, ducks, Bonnie the dog and the elusive Rabbit. We often found Annabel up the backyard trying to catch the rabbit..."Come on Rabbit"....
We spent a day at the beach (Lake Cathie), time hanging out with Nanna Shirley and the family and Poppy took us yabbie pumping.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year - only a month late

Well we have been a little busy.... Our xmas was very quiet but nice. We joined some friends for brunch at the park in the morning and then had a late lunch / early dinner. The girls had a great day. They got spoilt rotten. They didn't know what to play with first.
