Finding Elmo
ydney for the June Long Weekend for our last jaunt away with all the family before brothersister makes an appearance. We had every intention of taking the girls to the zoo but the lovely Sydney weather put a quick stop to those plans. So we ventured out to the Sydney Aquarium. The girls had a great time looking at all the fish, seals and sharks. It was a big day, with lots of walking and a ride on the bus. Annabel kept asking where her seat belt was??Baby chino time - Georgia (left) & Annabel
somehow confused Nemo with Elmo, hence the title of this post. So all the little fish are now called Elmo! Our weekend started at Aunty Peta's where we managed to get ourselves stuck in a lift. The girls thought this was hilarious and Annabel kept saying "we are stuck like pigs in the mud." Thankfully the lift technician arrived after 20 minutes.
We are also excited to announce that we have tickets to The Wiggles Concert on the 19th December. I am so excited. We are 5 rows back from the stage. I hope the girls enjoy it!

Sewing, Parties and World War III

And a photo of my models in their new cord pants that I finally finished. They looked so cute in these outfits. Teemed with a $5 cotton on shirt and a long sleeved spencer you can't go wrong. This outfit actually reminds me a lot of Peta and myself....Mum always dressed one in pink and the other in blue. But I suppose its better than being in completely matching outfits!

Sewing Mumma
The start of some cord pants for one of the girls
(so just a little sneaky peak)
Today I finally got to some sewing. The girls were quiet happy to entertain themselves while I got started on a few projects. I am finding that I am too tired to sew of a night so I have set myself a little task to do a bit each day while the girls have a rest! I have also decided that this year I am going to try and make most birthday pressies for the girls friends. I bet this lasts till brothersister arrives. We have a 1st Birthday Party this weekend for Damien so watch this space......

12 Weeks and 2 Days till Brothersister Arrives
Just thought I would post a picture of my belly for the international / interstate family. Its finally gotten bigger. I have gone from looking fat and tubby to actually looking pregnant. We only have 12 weeks to go (hopefully a little less) until the new baby arrives. Thankfully I am no where near as big as when I had the girls. The girls arrived at 29 weeks + 3 which is only 13 days away!!!
Mothers Day Weekend - Camping

We have just returned from a weekend down the coast at Barlings Beach, near Rosedale (where Nic & Keith have a weekender). We stayed in cabins with 3 other families. The kids had a great time - swimming, playing and running wild. The beach was beautiful but breathtakingly cold. This didn't deter the kids and Georgia seems to be finally over her fear of sand!

Holidays with Nanny, Poppy & Aunty Jen

We have spent the last week having a break with the family. The girls loved all the attention and playing with poppy's animals - chooks, ducks, Bonnie the dog and the elusive Rabbit. We often found Annabel up the backyard trying to catch the rabbit..."Come on Rabbit"....
We spent a day at the beach (Lake Cathie), time hanging out with Nanna Shirley and the family and Poppy took us yabbie pumping.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year - only a month late

Pearl Beach

On Friday we drove up to Pearl Beach (an hour north) of Sydney to meet up with the family. We rented out an amazing beachhouse with 5 bedrooms and 20 metres walk to the beach. It rained every day apart from Friday. But it still didn't stop the girls from swimming. Annabel loved the beach. From the moment she got up in the morning all she wanted to do was go swimmin and diggin. Georgia enjoyed the water once she got in but she hates the sand. Hates walking on it and playing it. Not sure where she gets this from. She is a bit of a princess. Next time we will take her gumboots. It was a great weekend......nice to see the family before Christmas.

34 Degree Heat, Evaporative Cooling & Chocolate Paddlepops

With the heat we have had lately and the thought of heading into another long, hot summer we decided it was time to bite the bullet and install some cooling. Fortunately with the 30 plus temperates we have had lately....it has already had a workout! It is nice to be able to put the girls to bed and know that their room will not be sitting at 28 degrees.
Here are some photos of the girls enjoying a chocolate paddlepop. It was their first ever icecream on a stick. What a nightmare. We had paddlepop from one end of the back step to the other!

Few & Far Between

Well our updates have been pretty few and far between. We are not slack its just been sickness central here once again!. Mum has been sick with a nasty gastro bug that knocked her for six!
So what have we been doing......hanging out with Dad. Thankfully all the bugs have gone and this week we will be able to resume our normal activities like music class, cooking with Mum and seeing all our friends. Two new photos - Georgia's new smile and Annabel eating the batter off the beaters after helping make some biccie's.

Daddy is an Aussie Citizen
(Georgia, Neve, Amy & Annabel)
This morning we proudly watched Daddy (Michael) make his affirmation to Australia and accept his Australian Citizenship. Yah. It has been 6 long years since we kicked off the process with visas. As Daddy often says "it would have been cheaper & faster to catch a boat to Australia." But now its done and Daddy's allegiances will have to change to support Australia in the cricket and rugby and he can now legally vote! he ha
The girls actually sat for an hour throughout the ceremony. I did have to bribe them halfway through with dried fruit and biccies. We sat with Anna, Neve & Amy, who are friends in our playgroup. So we were also able to watch Simon accept his citizenship.
